Camp Kern offers much of our Scout Camp program in program areas. These areas contain supplies, staff, and the other resources necessary for Scouts to get the most out of their experience at camp. Each porgram area has an area director that has full authority in that area to provide a top-notch program. If you want to do something special that involves that area, they are your first resource. Your Camp Program Director & Camp Commissioner always stand ready to assist your unit's program.  Program Area Directors are led by our Program Director.

Our staffed program areas include:

Outdoor Skills Area - Under the direction of the Outdoor Skills Director.
Handicrafts Area- Under the direction of the Handicrafts Director.
Rifle Range - Under the direction of the Shooting Sports Director.
Shotgun Range - Under the direction of the Shooting Sports Director.
Archery Range - Under the direction of the Shooting Sports Director.
Boating Area - Under the direction of the Aquatics Director.
Swimming Area - Under the direction of the Aquatics Director
Nature Area - Under the direction of the Ecology Director.
High Adventure - Under the direction of the High Adventure Director
Outpost - Under the direction of the High Adventure Director
